It's nonsense that this camera is "certified" for Skype.I get adequate light from the windows, but this camera compensaes to make the room look very well lit. Very crisp image, and even looks great when I forget to turn the lights on in the room in the morning. I got this camera for video conferencing for my new office.I'm sure you could spend hundreds of dollars more for greater professionalism but I wasn't after professionalism, just acceptable (very good) and it exceeded my expectations. My piano pictures and videos turned out very good and sound was acceptable.One of the best webcams I've used - and I've used a lot of different ones. Works best in good light, but not too bad in low light.
I've used this for both live streaming on a website, and Skyping with hubby.You do need to download software off Logitech website to adjust things such as zoom, quality. And it automatically switched it to the camera.
